In Episode 37, Debi and Dr. Rob discuss the psychological impact of weight gain and dieting and how they relate to relationships and intimacy. We discuss how people feel they will be more confident after they lose weight or get to a certain size but then realize that they still have the same mindset minus a few pounds. After working with hundreds of women on weight loss as a hypnotherapist, Debi shares how they use their weight as a defense against love. They use extra pounds to hide and avoid attention. They sabotage their diets and workout routines because they really don’t want to be in a relationship on a deep level.
